The Eastlake Wolves lost for the first time this season, to the 7th ranked Woodinville Falcons in a very soggy contested battle at Seattle’s Qwest Field. The Wolves played extremely well despite the cold and wet conditions. Drake Furcini and Stephen Nasca played very well on offense. Drake ran and threw for 200 yards and senior running back Stephen Nasca had several key runs that kept several drives alive at critical times in the game. The Wolves scored first on a 5 yard QB keeper over the right side behind center Zach Nicholson, guard Derek Chaney and tackle Mav Graham. The game went into halftime tied at 7. The second half was another great defensive battle. Coming into the game both teams averaged over 35 points a game. The entire Wolves defense was again stellar in their efforts to keep the Flacons to only 7 points in regulation. The game went into overtime and the Falcons scored on a winning FG to end the game. The 2-1 Eastlake Wolves play their first home game this Friday against the Redmond Mustangs who recently lost to Bothell.
