The Eastlake Wolves played this game like it was the beginning of the King-Co playoffs.  In some respect it was.  The Wolves came out swinging and hit the Knights hard on every play. Drake Furcini played a great game leading the Wolves to a 42-13 must win.  The Wolves displayed a strong balance of offense both throwing and running the ball. Drake Furcini hit several receivers for big plays – of which three went for TD’s to Jeff Grotjohn (2) and Austin Reifeis. Drake also ran for a TD as did Cameron Hunt.  The defense came out ready to play and they put pressure on the Knights all night long. The Wolves  defense shut down a strong running game who had rushed for close to a 1000 yards prior to this game.  Alex Boyce , Travis Seaton and Timmy Xiong stuffed the middle and made several big hits behind the line of scrimmage.  The Wolves find themselves in 3rd place and have their playoff destiny in their own hands.  They need to treat each of the remaining two games as playoff games – Garfield this week and a cross over game the following week. Come out and support the Wolves at Memorial Stadium this Friday the 24th at 7:30pm.  Go WOLVES!
