The Eastlake Wolves played an inspired Garfield team on Friday night. The Wolves and Bulldogs played to a 14 -14 tie after the first quarter. Then the Wolves put on the pressure and scored 21 straight second quarter points to go into halftime with a commanding 35-14 lead. The Wolves were led by senior running back Stephen Nasca, who scored 4 TD’s on the night. Stephen was able to break loose on several mis-direction runs that caught the Bulldogs defense off guard. Senior QB Drake Furcini had another strong game leading the Wolves throughout. After the first quarter, Senior LB Turner Lee got his defense focused and limited the Bulldogs to only one score in the 3rd quarter. The defense has been a strong part of the Wolves success this year where all positions have done very well. The Wolves will have to continue to get better as they make a push for the playoffs. This week the Wolves play a cross-over game against the Roughriders of Roosevelt. The game will played at EHS at 7:00pm. Go Wolves!
